Goofy News Reporters
After Youtubing around for all too long, and forgetting my initial intentions (being to find something for this post), I stumbled upon THIS video. I do not really have a great way to link this to our class discussions, except for the fact that they are news reporters, which relates to journalism. This video was way too humorous for me not to share with my fellow classmates, so I dedicated my last post to it. I think it shows that even serious news reporters have a goofy and non so serious side as well.

Not going to lie, I was expecting a slap my knee funny video. This garnered some chuckles. Other than that, this video got me to thinking that we always tend to think of the "media" as some inanimate object but in actuality it is people who are the media. However, it is people corrupted by big money and big corporations. That is why I think that this new sort of wave of citizen journalism could be good because it is, more or less, people just wanting to get information out there just because they want to not because some network paid them to.
ReplyDeletehahah ...wow. although i would prefer this type of news reporter over the old fashioned serious types. it makes the broadcast more of a "show" and less of a boring monotonous listing of current events
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty ridiculous. I always love seeing newscaster either goof around, make slip ups or just loose it on camera. It adds a personal element to newscasters rather than just viewing them as perfect news delivering robots.
