It's basically a Creative Commons-like licensing for your tweets on Twitter. It's quite interesting, what do you guys think about licensing tweets? Twitter does make it clear that they don't own or have any hold over your tweets, but what about people who want to license their tweets? Why do you think people want to license their tweets?

Same reason you'd want to license anything. Or mayb they are preparing for subscription-based twitter? That is maybe people who have a ton of followers might start changing? Just a guess.
ReplyDeleteYea, maybe it's just me, but for some reason I'm not convinced that tweets are things that are to be licensed. It's like a thought rather, and whilst more than one person can have a similar if not almost identical thought, then what's the point of licensing? It's like trying to stamp one's originality, but I don't think that true originality exists anymore. Authenticity however, is debatable.
ReplyDeleteThat would make sense to license your tweets because so many business and company use them to get their word out. However i have never been on twitter so i dont exactly know how it work. I think it makes sense from the just i get from it
